Dear donor friend, today I want to tell you about beautiful Karen.
San Pedro is a municipality in Colombia characterized for being an area of great dairy production, in this beautiful place, among its mountains lives the beautiful 11 year old Karen in the company of her parents, uncles, aunts and cousins. Karen from a very young age was diagnosed with developmental delay, so she has problems in language, fine and gross motor skills, personal and social development, that is, her behavior does not correspond to her chronological age.
At the Fundación Patronato, we have supported her since 2018 with specialized pediatric neurology consultations, psychiatry, laboratory tests and neuropsychological rehabilitation; thanks to this process, we have achieved great changes in Karen, she has developed concrete thinking, strengthening of motor skills such as modeling, tearing and crumpling, in addition, she has strengthened her taste for music and painting which are her favorite hobbies.
All this progress has been possible thanks to the commitment of the family and the generosity of many people like you who, through donations, help us support the medical treatment of children and adolescents.
