Warm greetings from our Gulu office on this sunny Monday. We hope the weather is giving you a kind start of the week. Now that the first half of the year is officially closed, we have some fun updates for you - are you ready?
First of all, did you know we are no longer a team of 5? As of June, we have grown to 6 team members in Gulu, now joined by Felix Okello as our Finance Officer! Felix brings along lots of experience and knowledge that will help us organize our finances even better and set us up for greater success. Coincidentally, we celebrated our 6th birthday as an organization in May - are we setting a trend for an extra colleague every year…?
Another exciting moment: the launch of our ODII blended training package at 2 new partner schools! Ajulu Primary School and Oguru Primary School - both in Gulu District - expressed their interest in our training program and in testing this new training approach at their schools. That means their teachers and administrators will be following our training content via pre-recorded video sessions and personal workbooks, without needing our team to be physically present every time. After the first orientation meetings in the last few weeks, we can’t wait to start with the first sessions in the next months. We’re getting ready to scale up fast with a high quality solution to close gaps in inclusive education!
Before we forget: thanks a million for your contributions during the Little by Little campaign here on GlobalGiving in April. Thanks to you, we made it almost halfway to our ambitious goal - $612 raised! This is helping us take a great step in the direction of completing our training activities at our various partner schools this year.
