Pakistan is facing serious threats of the climate change issue. From water scarcity to droughts and floods, rising temperatures, heavy monsoons, flooding and speedy melting of the glaciers, all have impacted the lives of the millions of people in the country.
In July 2022, the southern part of the country was hit by a drought which affected the lives of thousands of people in Cholistan Dessert. AWARD initiated the fundraising at GlobalGiving, unfortunately , not enough funds were collected for the project , which resulted in a late delay of disbursement. Now, as AWARD has recevied funds of USD 437 during the month of October, the situation has improved abit since then but later it was followed by the massive floods. AWARD is watching the situation closely and will support according to the situaiton. We thank all of you for your help .
