We continue our work to ensure the quality of education, empower young people to reach their potentials, Salariin Kampuchea has done its mission through different educational programs, engaged students to access to education, engaged parents and community to value education, and support their child learning. To achieve the mission, we integrate variety activities in our program. Please see what we have done for the last three months for the social impact. Outcome Over 260 students are equipped with English and Chinese language skills, ICT, early childhood education and library access. They are really eager to learn education our programs at our school. Environmental workshop Our English teacher conducted an environment lesson with young children at our school about rubbish category and danger of plastic. 25 children participated in the lesson. They learnt about rubbish types and plastic disadvantages to people, animal, and nature. The pupils are encouraged to share and propose their ideas in the group discussion. They raise ideas in groups. They realize that they could not burn plastic and keep in soil as well as keep it separately. Certificate delivery and party We are very proud of our students graduated successfully from their English course. In the last three months, our school organized the certificate delivery celebration for students who graduated successfully from their levels. There are over 100 certificates offered to English, computers and life skills students during the party. They are proud of their study hard and effort. They really enjoy the party receiving a certificate with meals, drink and dancing. One student, Sopheak expresses her feeling and proudness about certificate graduation for her English level "My name is Sopheak. I am student at Salariin Kampuchea for one year. I am feeling very happy to get this English certificate because of my best effort, study hard and with good teaching of my teacher so I can get this certificate. I want to say that thank you very much for my teacher, my school and friend. Impact Assessment In December, we organized and arrange the parents, students and staff to share and give feedback about impact that our school have on them personally. There were over 20 participants selected in diversity as sample beneficiary to represent for the whole community. They were encouraged and given opportunity to think about what have changed their lives due to our school programs. What we could do to strengthen our positive impact and what we could improve our negative impact at our school. As the results, they all satisfied our service, programs and quality. They are really proud of our school. Their kids improve a lot, they are confident to speak with foreigners and they gain skills and experience. The parents also said they had less concerns because the school is closed to their houses and their kids get more responsible for their study so they have more to time to do their jobs in order to survive. One parent, Chenda expresses her feeling about participating in Impact Assessment at our school. She can discuss and share ideas to the school in order to improve. She is really proud of her son who is studying at our school. Her son is able to speak English, studies hard and has good moral behavior. In the next three months, we will conduct a certificate test for New Headway Elementary for English classes. We will conduct a variety of library activities with children in the library and we will conduct and organize hand-washing with young children. We will set up a football team. We hope you all continue supporting us. We would like to thank everyone who supported us through GlobalGiving. With your help we hope to continue and build upon the success of our non-formal education program. We wish you happy New Year, every success, happiness and enjoy it with your family and friends!
