Successful Graduation & Certificate Party

We enhance the quality of education through educational measurement and activities. To achieve the quality of our educational program, we provide certificate test through English, computer, and life skill program. Please see what we have done for the last three months remanding many positive changes and outputs in the organization for its beneficiaries in the project region.

 Graduation and Certificate Delivery Party

After taking certificate test and graduation successfully from computer course, life skills and English program, 136 English certificates were offered to let’s go 3, let’s go 6, and New Headway Elementary students and 21 certificates were offered to computer students as well as 18 certificates provided to Life skill students during the certificate delivery party and Pchum Ben (ancestor ceremony) party. This is a great achievement and success received during the year of 2015. Please read underneath statements from students who satisfied and expressed their feeling about their study outcome.

One student, Sreynet expresses her feeling about receiving an English certificate of New Headway Elementary.

“Hello! My name is Sreynet. I am feeling well and happy when I pass and receive my English certificate of New Headway Elementary in a certificate party. This is a great result for me and parents very happy about it. This because I study hard and come to attend the class regularly. I hope this certificate can help me when I grow up and apply for a job that require English language skill. It is good for my future. Thanks my teachers and my classmates who encourage and help me with my study remain this achievement and also thanks very much to Saladin Kampuchea organization that offer this chance and arrange the party before we have a holiday for Pchum Ben. Everyone is very happy with their certificate and enjoy the party with dancing and meal”.  

One student, Sreyleak express her feeling about receiving a computer certificate.  “Hello my name is Sreyleak, I am very happy when I received my computer certificate of MS. Word and Excel during a certificate ceremony. This is my hope. Before I get it, I have to study hard and also come to attend the class regularly and do home so finally I pass and receive it. I will keep it well and use it for my job future. Thanks my teacher, school and all my classmates that encourage and support me during my study. Especially that make this party we really enjoy it”.

One student, Piseth express his feeling about receiving Life Skill certificate. “Hello my name is Piseth, I am very happy when I received a life skill certificate in a certificate party and Pchum Ben ceremony. This program is new for me but I attend in this program, I gain a lot of knowledge and experience as the school seeks for better chance for young adults like me. It measure and evaluate me that I am one of the other students who did well in the test so I can pass and get it. It show that I study hard, otherwise, I won’t pass. I hope this certificate will be useful for me for my future career. Thanks my school and classmates that support me during my study. I would recommend this program to other students that it is good for us. I enjoy very much with the party event”.

English Program Outputs

During the last quarter, there are 223 disadvantaged students equipped in English language for let’s go 1, 4, 5, 6, Elementary and Pre-intermediate. They are able to read and write English alphabetical and use Basic English for communication. For adult classes, they are able to communicate with other people by using English language fluently. When  we conducted the midterm test, 40 let’s go 6 students passed midterm test successfully, 42 Let’s go 4 students passed midterm test successfully, 20 Let’s go 5 students also passed their midterm test, 12 let’s go 6 students passed a final test and one student failed. With certificate test, 32 out of 34 Elementary students passed certificate successfully and two students failed their certificate test and 12 of 13 passed certificate test of let’s go 6. In addition, all students are actively participated, motivated and competitive and moreover students are able to memorise common frequency words and challenge words. As the result, there are 6 champions won the competition and got awards.

Library Outputs

The library runs from Monday to Friday which four hours in the morning and four hours in the afternoon. There are 64 students visit library daily in average. With a computer access in the library, 30 Children are familiar with typing and keyboards. They use correct fingers with keyboard.  With reading club, students improve English and Khmer reading skill and have fun with their spare time. With art activity, students are able to draw their favorite pictures, paint with color and fold picture of animals (snail, pig…).

Computer Outputs

For the last quarter, there are 38 students equipped in computer classes. There are 8 students passed the certificate. Capacity building for a teacher, the computer teacher is getting more involved to face computer problem. He is more confidence on the Microsoft Office repairing. Computer Class looked nicer and is improved because students are always alert by info on information board and in the class look refresh after decoration. With pair work, the students are able to teach and support their friends in classes. The students are able to use MS. Excel properly, and able to make and use MS. PowerPoint. The top four typing racers won the competition. They are encouraged and motivated offering them some small gift. They appreciate on what they had done so far since they started to learn computer administration course with Salariin Kampuchea.

In the next three months, we will teach students about Internet & Email for computer program. For English program we will final and certificate test. We will also participate in Angkor Bike4Kids (Angkor Wat Bike Race and Ride) with 33 students. In the library activities, we conduct Reading Club, drawing and handicraft, Movie show and library decoration. For football activities, we will start to coach and participate in the Globalteer senior soccer league.
