Enhance 400 Cambodians' lives through Education

We enhance the quality of education is Salariin Kampuchea’s mission through different educational programs and engagement with students and people in the community to develop their commune for environmental awareness. To achieve the quality education and environment program, we integrate variety activities in our program. Please see what we have done for the last three months for the social impact.

Basic hygiene   

In the last three months, our teachers conducted basic hygiene lesson integrated in education program at our school to young children. They learnt about hand washing and how to keep hands cleaned. All children at our school had chance to learn the theory and practical after the session. As the result, they realized to wash their before eating and after leaving the water closet. This makes them avoiding from illness /sickness and keep healthy.

Rubbish awareness workshop

To improve rubbish awareness and keep the rubbish to the right bins, our school and teachers integrated the rubbish lessons in the regular workshop before the class. In addition, the over 200 existing students at our school participated in the workshop. As the result, all students realize and understand better about how to throw the rubbish the right bins (separate and classify rubbish to different bins).

Plastic Reduction and Environmental Awareness Campaign

In the last three months, our school arranged environmental Awareness Campaign led by our pupils in the community of Chreav where we work nearby. Furthermore, our kids gave ideas and wrote statements for the campaign and then they walked across the villages from one to another in Chreav commune.

In addition, students walked with holding their statements and some of them announced their statements and messages to the public to keep the environment clean and reduce the amount of plastic use as much as possible. As the result, the community member joined us and they encouraged and inspired our team to continue to do this campaign in the regular base.

Finally, our students are very happy and joyful with their activities and campaign. They also shared their interest, view and experience about the plastic reduction campaign. They wanted the community follow them.

One student, Vireak expresses his feeling and interest about participating in plastic reduction campaign. “My name is Vireak. I am very happy to join the campaign. Why I participated in plastic reduction campaign because I want to show to the public and the community and especially the good environment could start from us”.

Another student, Chantra expresses her interest about participating in plastic reduction campaign.” We are together decrease of plastic bag use from now onward so we can keep our community clean”.

Another student, Darith expresses his interest and experience about participating in plastic reduction campaign.”I want community people understand and be aware of environment and reduce plastic bag use in my community”.

In the next three months, we conduct a parent meeting; continue environmental workshop and basic hygiene. We will categorize and classify books (labeling and coding books) in our community library. We will conduct final test for English language program. We hope you all continue supporting us.
