The community of Nyalenda has faced several challenges due to the frequent flooding. These floods have caused serious damage, displacing families and destroying homes particularly affecting the most valuable members of the community.
in response to this ongoing crisis , the James Were Foundation embarked on the ambitious goal of constructing more houses for the affected famikies.
whike our people were not imensely affected, Thanks to the government interventions such as desilting of our rivers and construction of gabions without permanent shelter.
we are actively mobilizing additional resources and seeking strategic partership to help us achieve our target of more homes. The progress made so far is a restament to the resilience of the Nyalenda community and the support of our partners but much more remains to be done.
We still apeal to more friends and partners to come on board.
