When Help Starts Running Out

Hungry northern children line up for daily food
Hungry northern children line up for daily food

Dear Donors,

Thank you for remembering families in Northern Nigeria who are facing conflict, hunger and displacement.

For many families, life has become a daily struggle for food, clean water and medical care.

Violence has forced people from their homes and separated families from the farms, businesses and jobs they depended on. Rising food prices have made basic meals harder to afford, while cuts in humanitarian assistance have left fewer resources available for people already living through crisis.

For a mother caring for young children, an increase in the price of food is not just a number.

It can mean one less meal.

For an older person who needs medicine, reduced assistance can mean going without treatment.

For a displaced family, losing access to clean water can quickly become a health emergency.

Nearly 35 million people across Nigeria are expected to face acute food insecurity in 2026, according to the figures presented in this project.

Clarion Times Foundation plans to support families affected by this crisis with food, clean drinking water, healthcare, medicines and hygiene supplies.

Mobile healthcare teams will also reach communities and displacement camps where access to medical services is limited.

When families have nowhere else to turn, they need people who will remember them.

Thank you for standing with Nigerians facing hunger, displacement and hardship.

Please share this project with others who may be able to help.

With gratitude,

Sipho D. Mfanekiso
