When a Family Has Lost Its Home

Dear Donors,

Thank you for standing with families in Nigeria who have been forced from their homes by conflict and insecurity.

Leaving home is never easy.

But imagine leaving without knowing when you will return.

A family may leave behind its house, farm, animals, business and belongings. Parents may have no income. Children may stop attending school. Food becomes harder to find. Medical care may be far away.

For millions of people affected by conflict and displacement in Northern Nigeria, this is their reality.

The hardship does not stop after reaching a safer place.

Families still need food.

They need clean water.

They need medicine when someone falls sick.

Children need nutritious food.

Pregnant women need care.

Older people and people with disabilities may need assistance to access basic services.

This project will provide emergency food, clean drinking water, healthcare, medicines, hygiene supplies and protection services to families affected by the crisis.

Mobile healthcare teams will also reach hard-to-access communities and displacement camps with medical treatment, essential medicines and nutrition support.

A family may have lost its home, but it should not have to lose hope too.

Thank you for helping us stand with Nigerians who are facing hunger, displacement and a lack of basic services.

Please share this project with someone who may want to help.

With gratitude,

Sipho D. Mfanekiso
