Help One Woman Start POS or Agric Business for $20

By Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri | Project Leader

Dear Friends and Supporters,

We thank everyone who has shown interest in this project. As of now, we have not received any donations, so we have not been able to begin implementation. However, the need for this project remains very strong, as many women in rural parts of Nigeria continue to face serious financial hardship.

In several communities, women are the main providers for their families, yet many have no stable income. Widows, single mothers, and women with unemployed husbands often struggle to feed their children, pay school fees, or cover hospital bills. Some resort to borrowing or small daily labour, which barely provides enough to survive. The rising cost of food and poor access to credit make their situation even harder.

This project aims to help 1,500 women start small businesses such as POS (Point of Sale) services or agricultural ventures. Each woman will receive basic training, a starter kit, and a savings card to help manage her earnings. POS agents make money by assisting people with deposits, withdrawals, and bill payments, while others may choose small-scale farming to support their families. These options will give women a steady source of income and a sense of financial control.

Every $20 donation can give one woman the tools to start her business, feed her children, and build a stable future for her family. Your contribution can help turn hardship into hope for women who just need a fair chance to earn a living.

with love,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
