Project Report: Help Orphan Girls Marry Without Dowry
Submitted by: Moses Welfare Foundation
Location: Pakistan
A Message from the Heart
When a young girl loses her parents, she loses more than a home; she loses protection, guidance, and security. In Pakistan, this heartbreak often deepens when orphaned girls are refused marriage because they cannot afford a dowry.
They watch others build families while their own dreams fade in silence. At Moses Welfare Foundation, we believe no girl should suffer twice, once from losing her parents and again from being denied the chance to marry with dignity. Through this project, we turn tears into hope by arranging dowry-free weddings that restore joy, love, and belonging.
The Challenge
In many communities, marriage is tied to dowry demands, cash, gifts, or possessions. Orphaned girls, without family support or resources, often face rejection, humiliation, and loneliness. Many are labeled “unmarriageable,” and some fall victim to exploitation or early, unsafe unions.
These girls dream not of luxury but of a loving husband, a home, and respect. Tradition should not deny them that simple happiness.
Our Mission: Love Without Price
We organize dowry-free marriages for orphaned girls, ensuring:
Every wedding is more than a ceremony; it is a celebration of equality, compassion, and hope.
Ayesha’s Story
"After my parents died, no one wanted to marry me because I had nothing to give. Every proposal ended with the same question ‘what can she bring?’ Then the Moses Welfare Foundation treated me like family, arranged my wedding, and gave me a new start. I never thought happiness would find me again, but it did."
Ayesha, 22 years old
Her story is one of many. Hundreds more girls are waiting for the same chance to live, love, and belong.
