Meet Analisa, from Kitefu village. She is the oldest of three children, and her parents are subsistence farmers, owning one hector of land, two goats and a few chickens. Just as Analisa was excitedly preparing for secondary school a few years ago, her father was in an accident. With the resulting financial strain, Analisa’s dreams of achieving her advanced education seemed impossible. Thanks to our generous donors and partners, Jifundishe’s team was able to secure a scholarship for Analisa to attend the amazing SEGA secondary school in Morogoro region. At SEGA secondary school, she was immersed in both intense academics and usable life skills. Sega’s mission is to foster the development of strong values, healthy self-esteem and independent thinking skills among its students, with emphasis on leadership, social responsibility and environmental care. Analisa performed well during her four years of study and sat for her national examination in November 2020 - and her results were outstanding. Analisa is charging ahead in her education and hopes to one day become a psychologist, to pay forward the helping process, and to support her family and community.
