Since 2019, Root Foundation has been providing music education in partnership with Brass for Africa. Young people in Batsinda community came at our center on daily basis to develop different talents.
Among the big program, there is brass band which consists of more than 100 children in 3 different levels; bronze, silver and gold. Each group has practive schedule to attend the training as well as performances based on the opportunites.
One participant has been attending advanced training from Kampala in all-star band that helped him boost not only music skills but also traveling experience as well as diversity and he meets with other participants from differnt outreaches.
Also, two girls had an opportunity to travel to Ugana and Kenya to celebrate women's day together with other members of girls band (Tayside Pearl) which encourage gender equality by encouraging girls particpant to play music as they transform their lives.
All participants are looking foward to host the Director of Music and Lige-skills at brass for africa to assess them and they get promoted to the next level and receiving certificates. We are very excited to seeing every participant promoting and we can't wait to have a platnum band.
