Together, we made this possible

By Mimi Diallo | Project Leader

Because of You, More Mothers Are Choosing Safe Care

Thank you for standing with us. Your continued support is not just generosity, it is a lifeline for women and families who too often face pregnancy without access to reliable healthcare. Over the past three months, your contributions have helped turn knowledge into action and access into safer outcomes for mothers in rural Mali.

With your support, we proudly partnered with B2Gold Mali to conduct intensive community sensitization campaigns in villages surrounding their mining sites. These sessions addressed critical maternal health issues, including the importance of early and regular prenatal care, completing at least four antenatal visits, and delivering in a health facility to prevent infections and life-threatening complications.

In just three months, we reached more than 1,200 women, many of whom had limited prior access to accurate maternal health information. Through direct engagement, dialogue, and community-led discussions, women gained the knowledge and confidence needed to seek timely care for themselves and their babies.

Incentives That Save Lives

Knowledge alone is not always enough. That is why this initiative also focused on removing practical barriers to care. To reinforce healthy behaviors, B2Gold Mali donated 300 maternal kits to pregnant women who completed at least four prenatal visits. These kits provided essential supplies while also serving as a powerful incentive for continued engagement with health services.

Each kit represents more than materials, it represents a woman who stayed connected to care, a pregnancy monitored more closely, and a birth made safer.

The Impact And the Urgency Moving Forward

These results demonstrate what is possible when committed donors, responsible corporate partners, and community-based organizations work together. In just one quarter:

  • 1,200+ women received life-saving maternal health education
  • 300 pregnant women were supported to complete recommended prenatal visits
  • Communities strengthened trust in local health centers and preventive care

Yet the need remains urgent. Thousands of women in similar communities are still at risk due to preventable complications during pregnancy and childbirth. Expanding this work means reaching more villages, supporting more women, and ensuring that no mother has to choose between distance, cost, and her life.

A Call to Action

Your continued support through GlobalGiving is essential to sustaining and scaling this impact. An additional donation today will allow us to expand sensitization campaigns, provide more maternal kits, and reach women who are still beyond the reach of care.

Together, we can transform awareness into lasting change and ensure that more mothers survive, thrive, and bring healthy children into the world.

Thank you for believing in this mission and for making these outcomes possible.
