Happy new Year from Tamar Center!
Another year has been passed by and we are getting ready for the year 2560 (Thai Calendar is based on Buddha) or 2017 (in the rest of the world)! What a year it has been! But as we leave it behind we want to wish you an amazing new Year and hope that your dreams and wishes come true in the next year.
Pastor Jim & Christmas
The month of December at Tamar Center has been going by very fast. Pastor Jim came and talked on two evenings to our women, we had special Christmas celebrations at our English Classes and also at Soi 6. This year, we were able to hand out to all our contacts an Calendar for the next year. This calendar is special as all the pictures are drawn in Thai style (see picture) and we hope that people will hang them up and enjoy them throughout the year.
Issan trip
Earlier in the month Nella, Pi Soi and Daniel went on a road trip and visited Tamar Center in Korat, a number of women that have been with Tamar Center in the past and also spent three days at Tamar Center Chaiyaphum. We had a great time and were able to observe the great job that Matee and Ooy are doing there. We will next year talk more about them, as they want to start a new project to teach how make Thai snacks to the local women. The goal of this project will be, to help the women to earn a small extra income in order to prevent them from coming to cities like Pattaya. We are looking forward to the start of this new initiative and hope that it will be a big success. Meanwhile in Pattaya, Steffi has been busy with a DTS Team renovating the card room and we are happy to report that it is almost finished. But you can still be a part of this project as well: https://www.globalgiving.org/microprojects/tamar-christmas-project-2016/
Many thanks for all your support!
At the end of this year we would also like to thank you for your letters, emails, cards, prayers and support to Tamar Center in the last year. We are very grateful for your interest in the work here and hope that we can stay connected with you all in the new year as well.
Merry Christmas and a blessed new Year from Tamar Center!
