Dear Donors,
Thank you for supporting the Help South African Children with HIV Medication project. We are grateful for your generosity and compassion toward children whose lives depend on uninterrupted access to HIV treatment.
South Africa continues to carry one of the world's highest HIV burdens, with hundreds of thousands of children living with the virus. For many families, poverty, transportation costs, medication shortages, and reductions in external support have created barriers to consistent treatment. When HIV medication is interrupted, children face increased risks of illness, weakened immunity, and serious health complications.
We sincerely appreciate the donations received so far. However, the funds currently available are not sufficient to begin implementation of the project. Additional support is needed before medication procurement, beneficiary enrollment, medical monitoring, and community follow-up activities can commence.
The project is designed to support vulnerable children who are at risk of treatment interruption. In addition to helping provide access to HIV medication, the program plans to support routine health monitoring and caregiver engagement to help children remain on treatment and maintain good health outcomes.
For children living with HIV, regular treatment is essential. Consistent access to medication helps reduce illness, improves quality of life, supports school attendance, and allows children to grow and develop more healthily. Interruptions in treatment can reverse these gains and place children at unnecessary risk.
We remain committed to this initiative and continue working toward the resources needed to launch the first phase. As progress is made, we look forward to sharing updates on beneficiary selection, implementation activities, and the impact of donor support.
Thank you for standing with vulnerable children and helping protect their future.
Warm regards,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
