Thanks to your support, three of us were able to travel to Kigali, Rwanda to participate in Women Deliver 2023, a conference that takes place once every three years. We really don't have words to explain what it meant for our lives, an experience of growth for each one of us, personal and professional growth. We were also able to continue working on partnerships with organizations such as the Girls Opportunity Alliance (Obama Foundation), Girls not Brides, Global Fund for Women, and much more. After the conference, we also got the chance to visit Impanuro Girls Initiative, an organization that works to empower women and girls. We deeply enjoyed seeing the light in the Rwandan girls´ eyes. What an amazing experience!
Thank you very much from the bottom of our hearts!
Below we share a few testimonies and a couple of photos.
¨Personally, I felt that sitting in each session, in each panel, in each event, I was taking with me the more than 160 girls from our program. In particular, when we listened to Malala and Ziauddin Yousafzai, it was a dream come true and it was impossible not to cry. We even managed to give them both a letter and bracelets, which got us really excited and inspired us very much.¨

¨This experience nourished and broaden the organization's panorama, allowing us to: network with important contacts, the possibility of building important partnerships, getting to know different work methodologies, and exposing Soy Niña at an international level. I am aware of the great responsibility I have and of all the work that lies ahead. Ultimately, this experience represented a hopeful future for Soy Niña and the fight for gender equality.¨
-María Jose Castro, Program Director
¨This was my second time attending Women Deliver. It is an event that cannot be described in words, you have to go there to experience it. This year was incredibly special because I was able to go with my two great co workers who share my passion for girls´ rights. We were able to attend many sessions, participate in small groups, get to know girls and women who fight from their countries for a more equal world, women from Sudan, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and more. We managed to connect with several women in Latin America who are working to put an end to child marriage, to amplify stories from their countries and who work that every girl and woman has access to sexual and reproductive health.¨
