Hi GlobalGiving donors! Thanks to your support in the past, Stray Animal Project was able to achieve the unthinkable: we expanded our spay & neuter program to the highest mountains of the Andes in Peru and just surpassed 1000 animals fixed in these communities!!!
In communities such as Acopampa located in Ancash, Peru most of the population live below the poverty line and there is an overpopulation of stray animals. The people in the area really love their animals but there are no veterinarian hospitals and they don't have the means to take them somewhere else. We identified a team of veterinarians in Huaraz (capital of Ancash) that now travels to these communities once a month.
Through this project we are providing economic relief to pet owners, impacting the quality of life for these pets and stray animals, and preventing many many more animals from suffering on the streets in the upcoming years. The Peruvian people cannot thank you enough. See below some pictures of the work
Please consider donating again to our campaign to continue helping these communities. For every $15 we can neuter/spay 1 animal in Peru!
Thank you so much for believing in our mission and your continuous support
