We kicked off 2024 by helping more animals! Thanks to your donations, so far this year, Stray Animal Project has been able to neuter and spay more than 300 dogs and cats in the districts of El Agustino and San Martin de Porres.
These districts, located in Lima-Peru, are really vulnerable areas due to the high poverty levels of their population. The lack of stable income makes it difficult for owners to afford to neuter their pets. In addition, it is part of their culture that pets can roam on the streets with no supervision, which makes them more likely to reproduce.
This year we want to support these districts to reduce the stray animal overpopulation rate through various spay and neuter campaigns. Thanks to your amazing help we have been able to carry out the first pilots with a great reception from the residents of these districts.
We want to achieve much more and we continue to count on you to give a better quality of life to these animals. See below some pictures of our work
