This past quarter, we organized 8 neuter/spay campaigns in the South of Lima thanks to your generous donations via GlobalGiving.
We had campaigns in Chilca, Lurin, and San Antonio in the south of Lima, Peru where a total of 221 dogs and cats were fixed. These animals were strays and pets from low income families of the area. With these surgeries, the animals will have a better quality of life, and we’ve also prevented thousands of animals from being born and suffering on the streets in upcoming years.
We also made progress on our education program. We hosted an educational workshop titled “Benefits of neutering/spaying dogs and cats” for more than 20 employees of a community park in Villa El Salvador, Lima. We chose this area due to an increase of dogs and cats being abandoned there. These employees, in turn, can educate park visitors on these benefits. After the workshop, several of the park’s stray animals were fixed in our campaigns!
None of this progress would be possible without your support! We’d love to ask you to keep contributing and sharing our cause to be able to expand our neuter/spay efforts to the Andes of Peru (such as Carhuaz, Ancash and Ayacucho) where there are many stray animals that currently receive little help.
Thank you so much! Woofs and purrs of gratitude
