Help to Construct New Community Learning Center

The Achievers Ghana Learning Centre in Dodowa is being developed to serve as a modern educational hub that promotes STEM education, leadership, and innovation among girls and young people in the Community. The facility will host classrooms, a computer lab, robotics and design spaces, and offices, all aimed at creating an inclusive environment for learning and empowerment.

The construction of the Dodowa Learning Centre has reached an advanced stage. The ground-floor concrete work has been completed, and the structure now stands ready for the next important phase of work.

However, to make the building fully functional and ready for use, several essential tasks remain to be completed. These include:

• Fixing of windows and doors
• Plastering of walls (both interior and exterior)
• Electrical installations and wiring
• Payment for workmanship and labour costs
• Other finishing works (such as painting, fittings, and final safety checks)

Completing these stages will ensure that the Learning Centre can be put into full use, allowing it to host training sessions, mentorship programs, and technology workshops for girls from Dodowa and surrounding communities.

Achievers Ghana is a nonprofit organization committed to transforming the lives of girls in deprived communities through quality education, mentorship, and skills development. As part of our long-term vision to extend our reach and impact, we began constructing a new Learning Center at Dodowa to provide a safe and inspiring learning environment for hundreds of underprivileged girls.

This new facility is designed to serve as a hub for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education, digital literacy, human rights awareness, and leadership training. When completed, it will host programs in robotics, Arduino, AI, coding, and even space technology—offering girls from deprived areas the opportunity to dream big and build the future they deserve.

Currently, the construction is actively in progress. The foundational work and first-floor concrete structure have already been completed. Carpenters are now working diligently on key structural components, and the steel bender is expected to resume work shortly. Additionally, sand and gravel have been fully procured to ensure work can continue without interruption.

However, the project urgently requires support to move forward. Specifically, we need 100 bags of cement and a financial contribution of GHS 30,000 to cover the cost of workmanship. These are essential to complete the next phase of floor concrete work. Without this assistance, the project risks delay, which could impact the delivery of critical learning opportunities for girls.

This learning center will change lives. It will provide access to quality education for over 500 girls annually and empower them with the knowledge and tools to break the cycle of poverty.
