Challenge

India is passing through a deadly second surge of the COVID 19 outbreak. Among all, the worst hit was an underprivileged segment of the society. More than a thousand people have been dying and are infected each day. Marginalised people need food to survive each day and the lack of basic resources further has worsened the already existing hunger and poverty situation. Daily wage workers and marginalized families neither had any source of income nor any source of food.

Solution

In response to this crisis, The El Shaddai Charitable Trust began its COVID-19 Food Relief Service on 30th March 2020. The Trust has been serving cooked meals every day to daily wage workers, migrant labourers, marginalized families, and needy people on the street and slums. Donations towards this project will help distribute nutritious food to the needy.

Long-Term Impact

El Shaddai has served over 3 Lakhs of cooked meals to the people in need. It is catering to the needy across the marginalised. We aim to serve a million cooked meals soon. This hunger will lead to safety risks and melting the economy, life will be saved with your donations. We appeal to everyone to kindly team up with us and provide financial support so that we can enhance much-needed service to more and more people. Please join us in this cause against Corona with your generous help.
