Food Relief Service: End hunger by feeding a child

According to the Global Hunger Index, India ranks 107 out of 121 countries in terms of hunger, with a score of 29.1. This score indicates that India is experiencing a “serious” level of hunger. Despite progress made in recent years, there is still a long way to go to ensure that every Indian has access to sufficient and nutritious food. Chronic hunger and malnutrition can lead to severe health consequences. Individuals who experience persistent hunger are often underweight and more susceptible to diseases. This affects their health, productivity, and ability to improve their livelihoods.

El Shaddai plays an important role in addressing this issue. We work to provide food to children, Individuals and families living in poverty. El Shaddai operates in both urban and rural areas.

In addition to food distribution, we also work to increase access to nutritious food. This is particularly important for vulnerable populations such as children and the elderly, who may not have access to the foods they need to stay healthy.

We have a recent story of a family going through a major hunger crisis. Each day was like an eternity to them. They used to beg on the streets in the hot scorching sun. The family had just migrated to Goa in search of employment but were unable to do so. Our team came across this family and immediately rushed them to our Shelters where they were provided warm food, clothing and care.

There are so many people affected by the food crisis due to Poverty and we want to help them all. Through our Food relief services, we have been able to reach out to 2.1 million children and individuals. We can achieve all this only due to your continuous help and support for which we are truly and eternally grateful.

We aim to make India hunger-free and progress forward towards a healthier future for all.
