Soydoy is a Colombian NGO with 15 years of experience in Food Security, that has impacted more than 21,000 people. Today we need your help! We really appreciate your generosity. The resources from this campaign are for: transportation of all our furniture and materials to take it to a warehouse, rent of the warehouse for 6 months, rent of a new office to continue working to achieve our goal: support 105,000 families more in the next 5 years.
Since our birth we have been enjoying a great site located in El Codito, a slum in the northeast of Bogota, "El Castillo", an architectural landmark of the neighborhood. El Castillo is an old infrastructure with more than 100 years, however, due to geological factors the structure has suffered and we need to evacuate. It has been our office 15 years, where we have thousands of great memories with communities, volunteers, donors, partners, where we used to gathered as a team.
Our site is fundamental because we need a physical space for some activities we offered to our communities, especially for children and old adults from El Codito. From there we impact the Food Security of 300 families of the Bogota region and where we need to move our bakery, our social business.
El Castillo has accompanied us all these years, we have achieved 21,000 people supported in 12 of the 32 States from Colombia. Our social model called "Nutrientrepreneurship" has been replicated 52 times and we hope to impact thousands of lives more. The results of the model: 78% of families increase their consumption of fruits and vegetables, after 6 months of participating in the project. 28% reduces in rate of malnutrition in children, after 12 months of care.
