My name is Shahana and I am 45 years old. Since the monsoon and floods last year, my family has had a very difficult time. The village community where we lived was affected by the floods and we lost our homes and a lot of belongings.
I came to the SHINE Humanity Urgent Care Clinic in Harejena Salt, Bhambore as I was constantly experiencing headaches and fever, making it very difficult for me to do my domestic chores. At the clinic, the doctor took my history, checked my temperature, which was 101 degrees, and prescribed me medication with bed rest.
Even before the floods destroyed some medical facilities we had to travel quite far to see a doctor, making life very difficult for our family. Thanks to SHINE Humanity’s mobile Urgent Care doctors, my whole family received a free of cost check-up. I am extremely grateful to SHINE Humanity for providing me quality healthcare so close to home.
Our Mobile urgent care units were built specifically for the benefit of flood-affected people, and are able to reach the most inaccessible areas of rural Sindh. SHINE Humanity is grateful to its donors who make it possible to provide much needed care to underserved communities.
