Help Women Impacted by Conflict Access Education

Dear Asherah Foundation Supporters,

The ongoing war in Ukraine continues to take a toll on the well-being of millions of women. The war has severely impacted women's livelihood opportunities, community security and their overall resilience. Lack of access to social services including schools and strained community resources have increased the care burden of local women and hindered the progress on Sustainable Development Goals. Consequently, many women have been forced to drop their educational pursuits .

According to the UN, there have been alarming increases in gender-based violence and transactional sex for food and survival, which have all endangered women’s physical and mental health. 

The war in Ukraine has had devasting impact on women and girls worldwide, and has severly increased the gender gaps. As an international community, we need to come together and show up for these women. We need to remind them not to give up and to continue fighting for their dreams and a better life.

The Asherah Foundation continues to stand with the women of Ukraine during this horrific time and are committed to helping women in crisis. Our scholariships are available to Ukrainian women and their sisters around the world as they seek asylum and safety.
