We are dealing with a lot of government controls on our clinic/laboratory project, but we have made some real progress in just the past two weeks. So I am hoping to see some results very soon where we can import a donated container load of equipment and supplies for the clinic and laboratory. If you know of anybody working in health who might be interested in helping or volunteering, please put them in touch with me. douglas@yachana.org.ec
In conjunction with our work in health and we are very pleased to be helping with a project doing research on chronic childhood malnutrition. The level of malnutrition in our area is very high, so there is a major need for this effort. The team running the project has set up a laboratory for all the testing necessary to support this study and are now visiting families in different communities every day to take samples and do interviews on their level of health.
