UYDT is a socioeconomic empowerment programme focused on creating dignified jobs and taking a holistic approach to empowerment. we care a bout a whole person and want to ensure that they get adequate training to excel in this life. we strive to daily remind our artisans that they are loved & worthy to live best lives. 40 youths & 30 women will be trained to be able to create dignified jobs and be empowered. As stella laments"UYDT has changed my life" so will others.
The artisan sector is the 2nd largest employer in the developing world. yet the majority of artisans are women and youth who live in rural communities with out access to markets, skills & tools to be successful. we are dedicated to changing that since 2014, UYDT has provided artisans with on-job skills training, opportunities for personal growth, a place to dream & act big, support and empowerment.
sustainable socioeconomic empowerment of the whole person is at the heart of UYDT's mission. we believe that women & youth hold a key to this social change.we also know that when women and youth rise in the economy, the whole confidence in their ability to achieve (and Exceed)their goals. we unleash a women's, youth's greatness through empowerment, opportunity and community engagement.
We believe women and youth around the globe have the capacity,creativity ,determination to uplift themselves their families and communities- all they need are resources as our organisation grows in size & scope;so does our commitment to empower more artisan women, youth ,families in Uganda particularly Bukedea District where we operate from. its with your support that our artisans are actively creating brighter future for themselves and their families.Together we are creating something awesome.
