María just turned 4 years old, she comes from Isla de Briones, a rural town of San Fernando, located 150 km south of Santiago, the capital city of Chile. She is currently in the Fundación Nuestros Hijos Home away home with her mother Carolina due to a leukemia that was diagnosed in mid 2023. Many children diagnosed with cancer like María, must leave their homes and cities of origin, because there are no oncology centers near them to be treated and, therefore, they must travel to the capital city, together with a family member or guardian. María misses her brother Alonso and her farm animals such as lambs, horses and pigs, her dream is to be a veterinarian when she grows up.
Thank you for supporting María and hundreds of children like her!
