At ChildAid we support projects that give children and families hope and a better chance in life.
Very often families in Ukraine and Moldova are facing dilemmas between buying food, medicines or wood. When temperatures reach -20 Celsius heating is essential in order to survive.
Recently the Ministry of Social Protection contacted our partner in Transnistria to help this family.
Sophia is a single mother who cares for her children and elderly parents.
She was struggling to make ends meet. She was starting to feel pressure and uncertainty about the future.
We helped with food and prepared the documents, so she can receive benefits as a single mother. She didn’t know how to complete the documents or that she could receive support.
She has been touched by the kindness of our partner and tearfully thanked everyone.
Simple things like food and assistance with paperwork can help change a person’s attitude towards life. Sophia is more positive and dreams of a better future for her family.
Thanks to your kind donations we can give hope to families who are struggling and children a good and healthy childhood.
With gratitude
