Dear Supporter,
In times when it seems that all hope is lost, when everything has been taken away, how do we keep hope alive? What is hope without support, love, food to eat, warm clothes, heating, and security? These are not abstract questions but the daily realities faced by our beneficiaries—children who are caught in the crossfire of war, affected by extreme poverty, disability, abandonment, hunger, and trauma.
These children, who deserve a better place in the world, should have the right to play freely without the constant worry of bombs dropping or their father being away, fighting in a war. Yet, these are the burdens they carry every day—worries that no child should have to bear. What they need is carefree time, love, and affection.
Thanks to the funds from compassionate people like you, we are able to raise money to provide these children with hope and opportunities. Hope is not just a word; it is essential for a human being to dream of a better future. Dreaming leads to believing—believing that even in the darkest moments, light will find its way and bring beauty, courage, and hope.
A young girl at Esther House in Moldova, a Day Centre for vulnerable children, is one of the many who benefit from your generosity. Her mother had to leave for Russia once again to work, leaving her with relatives. Her heart is broken, as this is not the first time her mother has left. The previous separation took a significant toll on her psychological well-being, and now she fears that her mother may never return, leaving her abandoned. At Esther House, she receives psychological support, and the team is there to offer her the confidence and hope she so desperately needs. It is unimaginable to fully understand how a child in her situation feels, but our partners are always there to support these children.
Together, we are raising hope. Together, we are bringing change into the lives of vulnerable and abandoned children. Your support makes this possible, and for that, we are deeply grateful.
With sincere thanks,
ChildAid to Eastern Europe
