At ChildAid to Eastern Europe, our mission is to bring lasting change to vulnerable children and families. One of the most powerful ways we do this is through our trusted partner project, Little Lighthouse Rehabilitation Centre in Makariv, Ukraine.

Thanks to your generous support, Little Lighthouse continues to provide completely free rehabilitation and support services to children whose lives have been deeply affected by war, trauma, and displacement.

Little Lighthouse welcomes children facing some of the most difficult life circumstances in Ukraine:

• Children with disabilities — including those who have not yet received formal documentation, such as government-issued disability certificates. Many are still navigating Ukraine’s disrupted systems or are displaced, making paperwork hard to access.
• Children traumatised by or injured during the war
• Internally displaced children who have lost their homes
• Orphans and children now in foster care
• Children from homes affected by addiction, domestic violence, or severe family breakdown

Rather than wait for bureaucracy to catch up, the Little Lighthouse team responds to the child’s real and immediate needs, offering care the moment it’s needed—no certificate required.

Your contributions allow our partner to sustain and strengthen this essential service by helping to cover:

• Rehabilitation equipment tailored to children’s physical and emotional needs
• Ongoing professional development for staff
• Renovation and upkeep of safe, child-friendly therapy spaces
• Utility bills and consumables like electricity, heating, and cleaning supplies

All services at Little Lighthouse remain 100% free for families. The children and their caregivers never have to worry about costs—only about healing and recovery.
