Thank you for your generous donation to the Hurricane Beryl Relief Fund. Your support is already making a significant difference, helping our partners across affected regions deliver aid to their local communities.

Your generosity has powered several grants to high-impact, community-led nonprofit organizations at the forefront of this crisis across many places, including the Windward Islands, Jamaica, Venezuela, and the US state of Texas.

Here is a brief overview of the critical work you’ve supported:

  • Raise Your Voice in St. Lucia has seen its local community deeply affected by the recent storms. This nonprofit, typically dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate, and nonjudgmental services to individuals experiencing gender-based violence, pivoted after the hurricane to provide food, temporary shelter, and support to 17 individuals in Soufriere who lost their homes and belongings due to the sea surge. Funds will be raised to supply plywood and galvanized sheets to rehabilitate seven houses. They support Grenada and St. Vincent neighbors through their NGO network, which includes shipping baby diapers, wipes, formula, and clothing.
  • I-SEEED Youths in Jamaica is serving communities where the storm’s impacts were heavily felt. This organization is youth-focused, helping 100,000 children without parents through a wide range of services. After the hurricane, it launched into food, clothing, and material distribution to support their community in the rebuilding process.
  • The Coalition for the Homeless of Houston/Harris County has a trusted presence in and around the city of Houston in Texas. Its team focuses on general housing support and services to people experiencing homelessness, including outreach, intake, and coordination with the shelter system. This existing program was extended to support those left unhoused by Beryl. The organization is directly responding in coordination with the Red Cross and the local homeless shelter system to meet housing needs in Houston, both for those who were unhoused by the storm and those unhoused before and during the storm.
  • The Youlou Arts Foundation is based in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, a geography that suffered devastating impacts from Hurricane Beryl. Youlou Arts Foundation is a nonprofit that develops, promotes, and preserves the arts and culture of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Its art center sustained damage in the storms, with reports of fallen trees and limited water. Your donation is helping with critical repairs to this important center for the community.

The good doesn’t stop there! We’ve included a full list of organizations that received flexible funds from the Hurricane Beryl Relief Fund—supported by your generosity:

Your support of the GlobalGiving Hurricane Beryl Relief Fund powers community-led responses, and it means people in Jamaica, Venezuela, Texas, and other affected areas get the critical resources they need to help rebuild their local communities.

We can’t thank you enough for allowing this meaningful and fast grantmaking to happen through your generosity and care.

With gratitude,

Irene + the GlobalGiving team

About GlobalGiving’s Disaster Response

When a disaster strikes, recovery efforts led by people who live and work in affected communities are often overlooked and underfunded. GlobalGiving is changing this reality. Since 2004, we've been shifting decision-making power to crises-affected communities through trust-based grantmaking and support.

We make it easy, quick, and safe to support people on the ground who understand needs in their communities better than anyone else.

They were there long before the news cameras arrived, and they’ll be there long after the cameras leave. They know how to make their communities more resilient to future disasters, and they’re already hard at work. GlobalGiving puts donations and grants directly into their hands. Because the status quo—which gives the vast majority of funding to a few large organizations—doesn’t make sense.
