IMPROVE SCHOOL FOR 700 DOMINICAN STUDENTS IN NEED

Dear donor, please accept our warmest greetings. Your contribution to this project plays a vital role in helping hundreds of young people from vulnerable communities in Punta Cana achieve their educational goals.

We remain fully focused on creating better life opportunities for the students and members of the polytechnic school in the Verón community by continuously improving our educational center.

Your support has truly made a significant difference in this journey. 

We are delighted to share our recent achievements with you: 

• We held the 21st graduation ceremony, in which 68 youth were graduated from high school, some students and teachers were awarded for their performance. It was a meaningful and emotional ceremony, as always.  The director of the school exhorted the graduates to always pursue their dreams and never forget the human values that were instilled in them. To date 1,518 youth have graduated from the school
•  5 students participated for two months in the summer internship ”Veranitos” at Grupo Puntacana company; they were at the airport, hospitality and security area. It is a wonderful vocational program that supports the future generation of professionals on their way to success. They were selected for their high academic performance
•  The expansion of the facilities is already finished. We mean the 4 additional classrooms and the enlargement of the teachers meeting room.      Our objective is to improve the operational efficiency of the schooland meet the community's needs caused by the shortage of the schools in the region.
•  Signing of an inter-institutional collaboration agreement with the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (IDAC) and the Higher Academy of Aeronautical Sciences (ASCA), whose main objective is the academic training of students in the aeronautical sector. The agreement seeks to prepare the human talent demanded by the local aeronautical system and expand job placement opportunities.
•  A one week summer camp took place in the school benefiting 35 children in need of the surrounding communities. The camp offered recreational activities with a didactic approach

  The school staff is taking advantage of the summer vacation to do maintenance labors of the facilities (outdoor painting, land scape, among others) and prepare the next school year

The 2026-2027 school year will start at the end of August. Due to the shortage of schools in the region, our educational center is offering the first and the second grades of middle school; in addition to the high school education.
