After school - Learning centres for slum Children

Dear Friends 

Greetings and good wishes to you from BASS Learning centers, Guntur, India

Thank you for your kind support and partnership in this project. 

We are giving the first report for this project, but failed to raise funds  for this project to improve the standards of the centers. 

BASS operates three after school learning (Tuition) centers for slum children with expert qualified teachers. These centres are operating during the evenings after children coming from the school at 5.30 to 8.30 P.M

About 150 children accessing the three slum locations in Guntur city. The teachers are also from the local slums and they motivate children for the improvement of the school attendances and best performance in their class studies and also learning with good behaviors and life skills. 

We are very happy to inform you that the centre kinds are well in their studying at their local schools with good progress in all subjects. And also child labor is stopped in the areas with the best interventions of the BASS Volunteers and centre teachers. 

Moreover the some of the children families do not have electricity lights in their homes so children needed to complete their homes works at the centers 

It is very difficult to give at least nutritional snacks for evening meal to the children because these children families are poor and not having sufficient income to provide good nutrient meals to the children 

Girls also learn  here not only formal classroom education  but also life skills, protection and hygiene and healthy habits . 

This project is very successful and the community appreciates the teachers for taking care of the children from after school in the evenings. 

I request you to kindly help this project to provide salaries to the centre teachers and meal to the children 

 One centre needs at least $ 350 per a month. Please join with us to help children in need
