By Mary Mutuku | Project Officer
It is my pleasure to present our project progress report for the 1st quarter (January-March 2018). The project; provide safe and clean water for 1500 children and women, is aimed at improving water supply to Mutulani community, in Makueni County, Kenya
During this project period, the community’s development expectations of equipping the drilled borehole and distribution in Mutulani Primary and Secondary schools did not actualize since Makueni County who had earlier committed to support the cause reported a number of challenges which made them not to support the community in achieving their dream within the specified time. PEN, the Mutulani community through MAWE CBO and the Schools have increased efforts of looking for more partners to enable in phasing out the current project and initiating a new one whose impacts will reach the neighboring communities
We would like to appreciate our donors who have earlier supported this project and those who are still sending their support to date. It is through that support that Mutulani Community have benefitted through provision of three water tanks which all have water to the full after the rains being experienced to date and a Borehole that was drilled in 2017.
Many thanks
