We are delighted to present our progress report for our project “Provide safe and clean water for 1500 children and women” aimed at improving water supply and sustaining it to serve the Mutulani community in Makueni County, Kenya.
During this reporting period, March 2026 - May 2026, the Mutulani community received adequate rains which led to high farm yields promising food security for the community for the remaining part of the year. The rains have also supported the growth of both forestry and fruit trees planted during the October- December rain season as well as planting more for the purpose of reversing the effects of climate change and recharging the Borehole.
The Mutulani community Dispensary, Mutulani Primary and Mutulani secondary continued to benefit from the water project enjoying the Smart Meter technology installed.
PEN Kenya staff visited Mutulani community Water Users to document the preparedness on the project sustainability and sustaining the partnerships to yield more projects in the area after the exit of PEN Kenya
