Waiting Room Orthopedic surgeons, bone doctor
Kibale Community Health Center was set up to provide basic Primary Health Care Management Plan to the poorest.
Working in the Rural villages our rural health facility is devoted to raising the standard of living of local people through the promotion of health and well-being of every rural household. Elderly people, women, and children.
Our health projects range from giving support and care for people infected and affected with recently COVID-19, HIV/AIDS to other emergencies. Accident victims, common today in Uganda roads, towns, cities and villages.
Key beneficiaries are single mothers, widows, orphans, and vulnerable children, providing access to sustainable hygiene and sanitation practices, and treating opportunistic infections.
Our rural clinic is committed to working with those in need, regardless of age, ethnic origin, ability, sex, belief, or political affiliation, recognizing the value of our many differences.
Our clinic is located in a rural town area of Kibale Community, a facility primarily for the care and treatment of common diseases. Malaria, etc.
Quality, Safety.
The health center tries to provide basic minimum health and safety standards while caring for the disadvantaged.
In Medicare terminology, our current services include patient care, critical access hospitals, hospices, private health agencies and referral regional hospitals, eg Mbale, for Eastern Uganda.
Rural volunteer program.
Local medics have given their best to help the health center with no pay and have helped to save lives. We continue to invite interested, to work with rural facilities, on community health. As a way to improve our interventions, we desire to work with international medical interns, volunteers, specialist in diagnosis and therapy sustained patient care services such as laboratories, clinics, and ambulatory surgery room, center in our community.
To improve efficiency, We need medicine, trained personel recruiting, Ambulance on site, participating international partnerships and volunteers.
Construction of support departments.
In establishment, we had hoped to have the following health units, departments, facilities and services running effectively, the following need improving.
Ambulatory Surgical
Community Mental Health
Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Facility
Hospice unit, department.
Standby ambulance service vehicle
Outpatient Physical Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology Services
X-Ray facility, room.
Quality Nursing Facilities
Critical Access Specialized, Referral Hospitals
In Uganda due to urbanization, privatized, capitalized economy. This is big challenge, many rural households, don't have the means, money and ability to enjoy services of city hospital. This affects more widows, elderly stroke patient, disabled persons easy access to distant health services, and we thought it would be better to start one near, and be able to save life of the most vulnerable.
Community Mental Health Problem.
YOUTH in drugs. As we go global, certain habit's have taken root in our society, Weber rural or urban, causing a medical challenges such as youth in drugs, the numbers are rising daily and we do not have experts in mental health in the deep rural communities. The resul is mots have gone mad and others find themselves in prison for petty crimes or madder.
Generally, our health facility is planed for expansion, upgrades and provision of good facilitates to better handle the growing problem in our community, through our medical center, clinic. We will need to employ qualified phycologist.
Clinical Laboratory
The clinic has a very tiny room only to fit clinical officer, the patient stay out of the room on the window, standing outside to receive test results. With continued support, we hope to build, establish a quality laboratory to serve our rural patients better testing and to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of patient test results.
The new lab if constructed should be able to handle complexity tests thus, the more complicated the test, the more stringent the requirements.
Accident today.
Our rural health clinic has no Orthopedic surgeons, doctors who specialize in the musculoskeletal system - the bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles that are so essential to movement and everyday life. With more than 200 bones in the human body, it's an in-demand specialty.
Hospices
COVID-19 was an eye opener, lots of people died and there was no facility or private friend better trained to manage such emergency. We hope to train our staff with your support and also build a team of specialized nurses to give hospice care to our patients innthe rural communities. At the moment, this service is very poorly handled because of the nature of facilitate available in the private service providers.
We do not have a hospice public agency or private organization in our community, most services are thought in cities and for the rich, the poor suffer due to lack of this.
They are very expensive and provide or primarily engaged in providing care to terminally ill individuals, nonprofit basis which the por can't afford, especially ambulance services etc, to the final place of rest.
The private costs include, caring for terminally ill individuals that stresses palliative care (relief of pain and uncomfortable symptoms), as opposed to curative care.
In addition to meeting the patient’s medical needs, hospice care addresses the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of the patient, as well as the psychosocial needs of the patient’s family/caregiver.
Life Safety Code & Health Care Facilities.
Our community health center is very small rented facility, we need to install fire extinguishers, and some form of safety to our patients and build better wards, with safe, wide and marked exits for staff and patients.
New patient's wards, (male female, children)
Because our fundraising efforts are limiting, our patients currently slept on floors. This is very worrying situation. The facility also doesn't have enough admission mattresses. The new wards if constructed will have a set of fire protection requirements designed to provide a reasonable degree of safety from fire. It covers construction, protection, and operational features designed to provide safety from fire, smoke, and panic.
The partnerships to provide minimum requirements for the installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, performance and safe practices for facilities, material, equipment and appliances.
Outpatient Hall.
Our rural clinic doesn't have outpatient Hall. We will continue to look for support, friends, partner's to build one, at the moment, all outdoor patient's are managed under a tree shade for lack of Hall.
The primary function of which is to maintain the health of the population served by providing environmental health services, preventive medical services, and in certain instances, therapeutic services.
Inpatient Facilities.
As new rural health clinic, facility for the disadvantaged, communities we are lacking in many aspects, simple as admission beds, nursing, injection rooms, tables and chairs.
We need to good and quality laboratory equipment's to help with proper diagnosis and because of this lack, patients who are admitted must be able to tolerate three hours of intense waiting for test result services. It may be the whole day waiting and thisnis not good for mother's with children left alone at home.
In conclusion,
We promise to continued to support our rural community health programs, will be able to improve on the above stated limitations and be able to improve the health of rural poor in Uganda.
International volunteers are welcome to support and develop aComprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Facilitiesand help provide coordinated outpatient diagnostic, therapeutic, and restorative services, to outpatients (the rehabilitation of injured, disabled or sick individuals).
Other services critical, lacking in our community are Physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech-language pathology services may be provided in an off-site location.
The following are considered “core” services that our NGO promises to provide with your donation received.
Consultation with and medical supervision of non-physician staff, establishment and review of the plan of treatment and other medical and facility administration activities, physical therapy services, social or psychological services.
