Capt. Sanjay Maini,Country Head, IRI Maritime and Corporate
Services Pvt. Ltd took an orientation session on "Adopt A Ship
Program" at Isha Vidhya School, Coimbatore. Fifty six 10th grade
students participated in the event.
Though the session was short, it was an eye opener for the
students, who were not even aware of such possibilities.
Capt. Sanjay introduced MAPS (Maritime Awareness Program
Society), spoke about different types of ships which carry goods
across the world and played a short film on MAPS. Next he spoke
about 'Adopt a ship program' and shared that our Isha Vidhya
Tuticorin school will soon join the program.
In the ‘Adopt a Ship Program’ MAPS will allocate one ship to one
school. A group of students from the school will be connected with
the ship captain and will get to skype about the navigation path
taken by the ship, infrastructure of the ship, goods being carried by
the ship and more. Coimbatore school students also expressed the
desire to join the program.
Capt. Sanjay also donated books on ‘Maritime Awareness Program
Society’ to the school.
We are glad that Isha Vidhya students are exposed to many types
of fields and activities to enrich their education and awareness. We
thank you for your support in educating the India rural children
studying at Isha Vidhya. Continuous engagement is one of the best
ways to support this initiative, so we would like to encourage you
to start a recurring monthly donation for a small amount at:

look forward for your continued engagement.
Thanks & Best Regards.
