Access to education remains a challenge for many girls living in rural Uganda, where poverty often prevents families from meeting the costs associated with schooling. Through your generous support, The Girl Child Foundation Uganda is helping remove these barriers and create opportunities for vulnerable girls to learn, grow, and succeed.
This quarter, project beneficiaries received school fees assistance, uniforms, textbooks, and other scholastic materials. These resources have played a critical role in ensuring girls remain in school and are equipped to participate effectively in their studies. As a result, attendance rates have improved, and fewer girls are at risk of dropping out.
In addition to financial support, we continued to provide academic mentoring through after-school tutoring and homework support sessions. These programs have strengthened learners’ academic skills while boosting their confidence and motivation to excel. Teachers report increased classroom participation and improved performance among supported students.
The project also awarded scholarships to talented girls transitioning to secondary school. These scholarships are providing life-changing opportunities for students who would otherwise be unable to continue their education due to financial hardship.
Every contribution made by our supporters is helping to create lasting change. By removing barriers to education, we are empowering girls with the knowledge, confidence, and opportunities they need to break the cycle of poverty and build successful futures.
