We have successfully completed the secuity wall build around the elderly home and so our focus has moved onto a new area. The residents are in desperate need for some room renovations. Unfortunately our "adopted grandparents" live in very basic conditions which over the years have detoriated greatly. As a result, many of the doors and windows dont function and the residents are bothered by rodents, pests and the cold.
So what are we going to do about it? The Happy Africa Foundation are fundraising much needed funds to repair and replace windows in order to ensure all windows work and are fitted mosquito gauze to protest our eldelry friends from Malaria and insects. We will also repair and replace doors as many of the doors do not close and are not secure. We also hope to add in ceiling boards to what is now just exposed roof, this will help prevent insects and pests entering the rooms as well as provide insilation during the colder months. Finally, we will also make some structural repairs to the walls and finsih off with some new paint so the reidents can live in a brighter and happier environment.
We have started to buy materials for this project however we desperately need more support in order to get the project up and running. Please help and donate today!
