The war between Hezbollah and Israel continues there are over 1,400,000 people displaced are now looking at a winter in displacement centers. Though the days remain warm the nights are getting colder and colder. Lebanon unlike other Middle Eastern nations has a more diverse climate due to its mountains. We are working to provide 2000 blankets and 1000 hot water bottles key to helping keep warm during the winter months.
Over 1,400,000 people have been internally displaced in Lebanon. As families flood from the south of Lebanon where the fighting between Hezbollah and Israel is the hottest into Beirut, and the surrounding suburbs high in the mountains. The nights are getting colder and the days less warm. We want to provide 2000 blankets and 1000 hot water bottles to help stave off the cold of the coming winter.
Stress and trauma continues and grows with the war. Families have lost so much, from homes to family members. Many leaving behind their hopes for a future with all of their things. The chaos of meeting practical needs for so many makes the displaced overwhelmed. Our hope is to relieve some of that burden and offer a way to stay warm in the coming winter months.
Being able to provide for peoples practical needs allows us to be able to meet them where they are at and bring hope. It also allows us connection points in order to open conversation for connection and a longer term relationship for greater impact in their lives.
