Since November there has been an uneasy peace in Lebanon with strikes on random days leaving a bit question as to whether or not we are done with the war.
The political atmosphere has changed and the new president and the new prime minister are making headway in shifting and changing things in the nation. There is a hope that was not there before. There is a hope for change.
As many of the families that we were helping have returned to thier homes either in the Beirut suburbs or in the south of Lebanon on the border we are keeping in contact and have worked out a system to help with some of the groceries and basic necessities by setting up cards that work in a local grocery store that has many locations throughout Lebanon.
On a weekly basis we are keepng in contact with people and they are sharing how life is with the uneasiness but thier joy to be back in thier homes.
