Lebanon is facing a severe humanitarian crisis brought on by escalating violence, which has caused widespread displacement and injuries among civilians. Thousands have been killed or displaced, countless structures have been destroyed, and access to basic needs remains severely limited. Vulnerable populations, particularly children, face heightened risks of malnutrition, disease, and psychological trauma, making urgent humanitarian assistance essential to sustaining the affected population.

Through the Lebanon Emergency Relief Project, YEÇED works to procure and deliver essential resources to those affected by the crisis, helping stabilize communities and support long-term recovery efforts in the region. The project prioritizes vulnerable children and families caught in the middle of this crisis, aiming to meet their basic needs and ease their struggle for survival after enduring displacement, trauma, and loss. By addressing both immediate needs and long-term recovery, this project seeks to help Lebanese communities rebuild and regain stability in the aftermath of crisis. The recent escalation of violence in Lebanon has significantly disrupted daily life, leaving many families without stable access to essential resources. Widespread displacement, loss of income, and damage to infrastructure have placed additional strain on communities already facing socioeconomic challenges. In this environment, securing basic items such as food, clothing, and hygiene supplies has become increasingly difficult for vulnerable households.

Project Update

Through our Lebanon Emergency Relief Project, we continue to deliver essential support to affected individuals and families. With contributions from donors, we provide basic supplies that help meet immediate needs and offer comfort during a highly unstable period.

During this reporting period, our efforts focused on:

Delivering essential items such as food, clothing, and hygiene supplies to families affected by displacement,
Prioritising support for children, elderly individuals, and households with limited resources,
Coordinating with local partners to accurately identify needs and distribute supplies safely and efficiently.

These activities help reduce daily hardship and support community stability during an ongoing crisis.

Why This Support Matters

Access to basic necessities plays a critical role in protecting health, maintaining dignity, and strengthening resilience. For children and families coping with displacement and uncertainty, emergency supplies offer meaningful support and help maintain a sense of security.
