60% of Ukrainian teachers and schoolchildren suffer from symptoms of mental health disorders due to the war. Existing supply of psychologists is not enough to cope with this challenge. Resilience.help is a psychological platform for Ukrainian teachers and school psychologists. It offers free training and resources on how to provide psychological help to themselves and students in distress. All materials are science-proven. The platform also features blogs by certified professionals.
As a result of the russian aggression, the majority of participants in the educational process suffered from psychological instabilities and stress. The traumatic experiences and exposure to violence have increased anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and other mental health issues among schoolchildren. Unfortunately, there is a lack of accessible resources in the Ukrainian language and support for school psychologists and teachers to address these challenges effectively.
The Resilience.help platform provides the Ukrainian teachers with free access to the best Western science-proven training programs and resources that help form psychological competencies of building their own resilience and supporting children in distress. In addition, blogs by certified practitioners will provide insights into best practices of addressing mental health issues in school settings. Special focus is put on online resilience building practices, as more than 30% of Ukrainian schools.
The project will empower teachers and school psychologists. The educators will be able to provide basic psychological care to students and create a supportive environment for their mental well-being. Thus, a sustainable mental health institution will be established to support the Ukrainian secondary education system. As a result, long-term resilience of younger generations of Ukrainians will be built. It will contribute to the overall mental health and well-being of Ukrainian society.
