Creating Magic Season

By Valentina Butenko | Project Leader

St. Nicholas Needs Assistants!

Dear friends!

We love our blind children and we want to make this time of the year as magic as possible! We are introducing our kids to the wonders through the tales and wonderful presents.

Due to your support we were able to delight throughout the year our blind children with fairy tales printed in Braille, we were able to adapt some textbooks and help the blind children join regular public schools as part of inclusive education.

The winter holidays are coming! The Lab of St. Nicholas  has already started its work on the preparation of a series of books about winter holidays.
This year the Ukrainian children with vision problems will have five new books printed in Braille: "The Adventures of Julius Dandelion. Save New Year ", " Happy New Year, Santa Claus!, " Christmas Fantasy "," New Adventures of the girl and the monster Chu Sony ", " Christmas Tale ".

We are now designing a set of material needed for making winter holidays greeting cards, so the blind kids with their parents could enjoy the time together and make those beautiful cards. This is the first time when the blind children in Ukraine will receive a set for hand-making of tactile greeting cards for Christmas and New Year.

We need your support in order to create more wonderful books for our kids and make them happy during the holidays and throughout the year!
Our project is participating in the year-end campaign. We have to raise 3000$ from at least 30 different individual donors in order to qualify for the possible prize. The Year-End campaign starts tomorrow, on Tuesday 29th, 2016. Every donation that will come on Tuesday will get 50% match. The GivingTuesdya with 50% match start at 00;00 am EST and ends at 11:59 pm EST. for Ukrainian time it will be 7 hours difference. So we will start at 7 am and finish at 6.59 am the next day. This is only for Giving Tuesday, but the full Year-End campaign will last for 1 month.
Please, support our project and help us create magic time for our kids!

With best wishes for this wonderful season,

Valentina Butenko
