Summary

A fresh start to the school year - help us renovate in Cambodia! With your help, we can update our centre to better enable the success of our students. Our mission is to unlock the potential of underprivileged youth by empowering them with innovative education in key digital and soft employability skills. We provide digital training that leads to quality jobs that allow students & their families to sustainably escape poverty and contribute to the socio-economic development of their country.

Challenge

The direct beneficiaries are young people between the ages of 18 and 20, from underprivileged Cambodian families. These young people are unable to access higher education due to their families' lack of financial means. The families of our students receive an average of $40 per person per month, while the average monthly income is $135. Our school is now 15 years old and needs a renovation (walls, classrooms, corridors and stairs)

Solution

Together, we can update our centre and help create these 2 spaces: The library, a space where students can read in Khmer or English and also organize cultural activities. A FabLab (manufacturing workshop) where we can create robots through an inter-university partnership.

Long-Term Impact

Since 2005, 1,485 students graduated from PNC. The past 3 years, 100% of the 2-year training students found a qualified job as soon as October, immediately after finishing their internship, and ahead of their official graduation; they earn an average monthly salary of 273 USD (promotion 2019, one month after graduating). Once they have found a job, all our graduates support their family and their community. On average, our alumni give back 31% of their salary to their families.
