Now, after two years from the beginning, we can proudly describe the success of different activities of this project.
Thanks to your help we have supported vulnerable women in their female social entrepreneurship in the local agricultural sector, giving micro credit to 250 women. In March our Project Manager Francesca, went to Benin and after a meeting with the referent person of the waste recycling she reported that many students and relatives were taking part to this activity, however, the way toward an environmental sustainability awareness and a its concrete realization is hard.
On the educational field, the meetings in the schools and the villages’ squares have been very important to become aware on healthy nutrition in order to affect the whole community. In fact, Francesca attended these meetings in the villages where a great number of adults and children took part.
Instead, our volunteer Antonella during her trip in May reported that the last groups of women that got the microcredit have been already able to give it back. Most of them have obtained an economic independence and will carry on with the agricultural work alone.
We thank you for your support without which we could not finish the projects and gain these results from women in difficult economic condition and at risk of social marginalization, but now involved into the social network in which they actively contribute.
