Life-Changing Surgeries for Colombian children

In the past two months, thanks to your generosity, nine children from different regions of Colombia received life-changing surgeries they had been waiting for far too long.

For these children, access to surgery was not guaranteed. Many were living with pain, limitations, or uncertainty about their future. Your support helped replace fear with hope—and waiting with healing.

The surgeries addressed conditions that deeply affected the children’s daily lives, including congenital hand and foot conditions, hernias, and orthopedic challenges. For each child, this meant something simple yet powerful: the chance to move freely, play without pain, and grow with confidence.

Behind every surgery is a family filled with gratitude and relief.

Ailani's journey

At just 2 years old, little Ailani Baena from Medellín, Colombia, faced a challenge that no child should endure — walking was difficult due to Talipes Equinovarus (clubfoot).

After many struggles within the public health system, her family finally found the support they had been searching for. Thanks to the generosity and compassion of people like you, Ailani received the surgery and care she desperately needed.

Today, she is beginning a new chapter — with therapy, regular checkups, and above all, a future filled with hope, joy, and endless possibilities.

Con tan solo 2 años, la pequeña Ailani Baena de Medellín, Colombia, enfrentaba un reto que ningún niño debería vivir: caminar era difícil debido a un diagnóstico de pie equino varo (Talipes Equinovarus).

Después de muchos intentos fallidos en el sistema de salud público, su familia finalmente encontró el apoyo que tanto necesitaba. Gracias a la generosidad y la compasión de personas como tú, Ailani recibió la cirugía y el cuidado que tanto esperaba.

Hoy comienza un nuevo capítulo: con terapias, controles regulares y, sobre todo, un futuro lleno de esperanza, alegría y posibilidades infinitas.
