The holy month of Ramadhan will be upon us, and as we prepare ourselves spiritually, let us also remember to increase our charity along with our worship. Join us in our efforts this Ramadhan to collect donations to help purchase food items locally for 180 students and 10 teachers in Khalalio Girls Secondary School, Mandera County, Kenya.
Khalalio Girls Secondary School in Mandera County, Kenya, faces unique challenges. Many of these students, who come from vulnerable backgrounds, struggle to access the essential food items they need during the month of Ramadhan for their iftar and suhoor. As they strive to maintain their faith and focus on their studies, many are confronted with hunger, which distracts them from their education and religious obligations.
This project will provide nutritious iftar to 180 girls and 10 teachers at Khalalio Girls Secondary School. By addressing their nutritional needs, we aim to ensure they can observe their fasts with dignity and comfort. The goal is to also ensure that the students and teachers can fast comfortably and continue their academic progress without the added strain of food insecurity. Your generous contribution will have a direct impact, helping us support those in need and showing kindness.
By providing nutritious meals, we directly address food insecurity, which often distracts students from their studies. When students are not hungry, they are more likely to engage in class, retain information, and perform better academically. Teachers will also benefit from increased energy and focus, enabling them to deliver lessons more effectively.
